The second fe:male project meeting took place in Cyprus on the 15th and 16th September. This was the first time that all the project partners had been together since our initial meeting in January and was a fantastic opportunity to catch up on how the project is going in each country and make plans for the next stages.

Since we last met, our Cypriot, Dutch, Maltese and UK partners have all held the first phase of fe:male Mentoring Circles so we were all able to feedback on how this had gone and share success stories. In total 35 women took part in the Circles as part of the project and many have since made significant steps in starting up their business. You can find out more about some of their stories by checking out the blogs and podcasts in the News section.

There was also exciting news from Viteco about the launch of the fe:male Business Directory. This section of the site is now live and you can register for FREE for a limited period to connect with other women entrepreneurs across Europe, find support, swap advice or even make new contacts to begin trading across borders! To find out more and to register click here.

The next phase of the project will focus on the second phase of Mentoring Circles which will see a new group of women take part in the sessions which help new or potential business women facing an added disadvantage (such as being a lone parent, disabled or from a BAME background) develop their business ideas. Alongside this Vitecco have also started work on the E-Learning section of the website which will support the women taking part in the Circles by providing a range of tools to help them gain the business skills needed to start up which can be accessed from the comfort of their own home or office.

There are certainly exciting times ahead for fe:male so make sure you keep up to date by registering today or following us on Facebook!
