The Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs was invited by the Ministry of Finance, Investment and Economy to organise a mini Mentoring Circle™ teaser at the Malta Fairs & Convention Centre during the SME week expo fair. The area allocated for the mini Mentoring Circles™ was set up in cabaret style with 5 tables and 6 chairs around each table targeting 25 people of which two were men.

Five women falling into the criteria of a double disadvantage sat at each table together with a person from FEW who acted as a facilitator. Two women from the first Mentoring Circle™ were present as well to share their story. The session started with Maryrose giving a keynote speech on the aims and objectives of FWE and a brief overview of the Fe:male project. She then gave the floor to Angele who explained the concept behind the Mentoring Circles™ and how the session will be conducted. All the tables were full and the attendees were presented with a mini pack of the Mentoring Circles™ exercises.

This teaser session proved to be a total success as out of the 25 attendees, 19 filled in the application form to attend the actual Mentoring Circles™ that will be held in February 2012. Due to the interest that this session generated FWE will probably hold parallel Mentoring Circles™ in February 2012.
